As a trusted financial advisor, my mission is to create life-long partnerships with my clients and their family. I will be with you every step of the way, during the good times and the bad, keeping you on track to a successful financial future.
I was born and raised in North Dakota. I spent the first fourteen years of my life in Minot and moved to the small town of Bowbells, North Dakota my freshman year in high school. Living in a small town I learned to appreciate a community where everyone knows each other. After high school I returned to Minot, ND where I attended Minot State University. After college I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where I met my beautiful Wendy. We currently live in Victoria and have 3 children; Harrison, age 23, Alexandria, age 21 and Mathias, age 16. Harrison is currently living in Dallas TX and working for Fisher Investments. Our daughter, Alexandria is a senior at North Dakota State University studying Interior Design. Mathias, our youngest, is a junior at Chanhassen High School and plays for the hockey team. In addition to following Mathias to all his hockey games, we enjoy spending our time together traveling and enjoying the great outdoors. And like most Minnesotans, we enjoy much of our summers at a cabin on Lake Vermillion.
I graduated from Minot State University, where received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Finance. In 1997, I went back to school and obtained my Masters of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. For over 20 years I have worked in the corporate financial world as a Senior Director of Finance and Vice President of Finance for several large corporations. This experience has given me the knowledge and a strong framework to partner with businesses and their owners creating solutions to continue to grow their successful business and create a legacy for their family. In 2021, I received my Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation to fully provide guidance on employer sponsored plans such as 401k's and 403b's.
In 2015 my life changed course when my younger sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer. It was hard to watch my younger sister and her family go through the emotional and physical challenges of cancer. It gave me time to reflect on what was important to me and decided to make a change in my life. I wanted to spend more time connecting with people and forming relationships that are meaning full, while being able to spend quality time with my family and being there for our kids. I went back to school to earn my Uniform Combined State Law Examinations Series 66, General Securities Representatives Series 7 registration, along with the Minnesota Life and Health Insurance License. I enjoy partnering with the team at St. Croix Wealth Management and working together to help you navigate life’s journey.
