Jody K. McDonough, CFP
Financial Advisor/ Certified Financial Planner ™
If I were to express how to best describe me—I would say I help people. Helping people is who I am. I believe in providing excellent customer service along with structured goal based planning. I volunteer for hospice through Intrepid in Roseville, I am a resting Deacon at Presbyterian Church of the Way in Shoreview, and I conduct financial education workshops across many communities.
Native to Minnesota, I grew up in North Minneapolis and attended Patrick Henry High School. I now live in Roseville with my partner Duane. We have three adult children, Jennifer, her husband Mitchell, Jason and Joe all who reside in the area. The newest addition to our family is our Granddaughter Ella, who just turned 1 in February. Our hearts overflow with love for our granddaughter. Family is important me and I love spending as much time as possible with them. We enjoy gathering for dinner, taking family trips and caring for Ella. During the summer, we spend as much time as possible at our cabin in Brainerd. We love fishing, boating and relaxing at the cabin. In the fall, you will find me canning tomatoes and dill pickles along with many other foods. I am happy to give you a jar of something I canned!
I am a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a degree in finance and communications. In addition, I am a Certified Financial Planner ™ and licensed with Uniform Combined State Law Examinations Series 66, General Securities Representatives Series 7 registration, and Series 63. Being a financial advisor for more than 17 years, I am blessed to have helped so many people on their financial journey by structuring individualized financial strategies to achieve their defined goals. In my role, I inspire financial well-being through education, guidance and financial planning.
