I grew up in the charming neighborhood of Maplewood with my parents and younger brother. After completing high school locally, I pursued higher education at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, where I earned a BA in Psychology. My journey into the financial and insurance industry began somewhat unexpectedly, guided by an inclination towards the business world inspired by my father’s career.

Starting my professional path, I joined John Hancock in the insurance sector, a journey that spanned nearly two decades. Here, I honed my expertise in life and other multiline insurance policies and began to build lasting client relationships through home visits—something that became a hallmark of my approach.

In 1993, I transitioned to Fortis, known today by another name, continuing to operate from my home office and maintaining my commitment to personalized client interactions. My career has evolved naturally to include financial management, driven by my client’s changing needs as they approach retirement. Even as the world transitioned to more remote means during the COVID pandemic, I adapted while retaining the warmth and connection of personalized service, often meeting with clients over the phone or in person where possible.

Though my professional life began with a degree in psychology, it was my desire to embark on a business career—aimed initially at gaining sales experience—that led me to a profound respect for insurance and financial planning. My genuine interest in aiding families in securing their futures gave my work an honorable meaning, solidifying my dedication and transforming my initial apprehension into a passion. My commitment to serving my clients’ best interests has made my work both fulfilling and impactful.

Outside my professional life, I cherish fond memories of childhood summers spent on Cape Cod. These trips were an annual family tradition that allowed me to connect with a large network of family members in the Boston area, building lasting memories with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Sports played a significant role in my youth, with golf emerging as a lifelong passion. Growing up near Keller Golf Course, I often spent time there, even caddying in two professional PGA tournaments—a unique childhood achievement that fueled my love for the game.

Now, with decades of experience, I continue to foster long-standing relationships with my clients, many of whom I consider lifelong friends. As I looks towards the future, I remain committed to helping families navigate their financial journeys, enriched by the personal and professional experiences that have shaped me throughout the years.
